The POLLUX Glass Sink (Right) The POLLUX glass sinks comply with the strict requirements of the American Military Specification for Thermal Properties. The temperature shock resistance is up to 110 degrees C, e.g. the wash basins are heated up to 130 degrees C and cooled down by cold water of 20 degrees C without any breakage. The mechanical properties are tested by a ball drop test with steel ball of 67 grams which is dropped into the sinks from a height of 80 cms without destroying the sinks.
